Walker, it’s called the author’s new Marcelo Simonetti and the illustrator Carolina Undurraga, which will be presented on Saturday, October 1 at 12 noon in the context of the Primavera del Libro fair, organized by the Editores de Chile association, located in Parque Bustamante.

On the occasion, a discussion will be held on migration in Children’s and Youth Literature in which the author of the book, the President of IBBY Chile, Luz Yennifer Reyes, and the director of Ediciones Mis Raíces, Francisca Jiménez, will participate.

Walker is a book that shows us the thoughts that come to a migrant child, as he embarks on his long journey to a new country escaping from a bleak reality with many other people who are looking for a better place to live. With this title, boys and girls will be able to understand the migratory phenomenon in order to stimulate respect and empathy towards the other.

The publication is a project financed by the National Book and Reading Fund, call 2022 of the Ministry of Culture, Arts and Heritage.
