Aguas del Valle reported that it will begin to execute, as of September 26, a renovation work on 130 meters of sewerage networks in a limited section of Av. Balmaceda in La Serena. The works benefit 550 households and have an investment of over $135 million.
The Elqui zonal deputy manager of Aguas del Valle, Giancarlo Sotomayor, explained that “this work allows us to renew our infrastructure, in addition to minimizing the risk of obstructions and sewage outcropping. In this sense, we reiterate the call for the proper use of this network. Our objective is to continue optimizing the service in the commune of La Serena”.
The works will be carried out under the open trench modality and will be duly marked for the protection of passers-by and residents of the sector.
The work will take place on Avenida Balmaceda, between Calle Juan Antonio Ríos and Av. Huanhualí, from September 26 to November 25.
The entire west road (north-south direction) will be used from Monday to Friday between 8:00 and 20:00, outside of these hours half of the road will be enabled, so a diversion plan will be implemented.
For those who travel from north to south along said artery, the alternatives will be: Juan Antonio Ríos, Av. Estadio and Huanhualí – to return to Av. Balmaceda.
Detailed information on the work and its benefits was communicated to the residents of the sector, community leaders, public transport unions, and coordination was carried out with the corresponding authorities.
