Pablo Guzmán’s teacher: “He was a brilliant and wonderful person”

In a post on

teacher from Pablo referred to this unfortunate fact.

“A young Chilean scientist, Pablo Guzmán was assassinated this weekend. He was in Kansas at Science Stowers doing his doctoral studies. I had the pleasure of having him as a student during his undergraduate degree, and He was a brilliant and wonderful person. What a tragedy,” he wrote in a tweet.

To this he added that Pablo “would have had a bright future, the world needs more scientists like him. Its a big lost. My condolences to his family.”

“He was murdered along with Camila Behrensen, an Argentine predoctoral scientist. Both Pablo and Camila were Latin American. I can’t help but think this was a hate crime fueled by xenophobia,” he added in a thread on the post.

The teacher finally asked that her tweet be shared so that more investigations can be carried out so that she can identify him or the murderers, and also to help her family bring him to Chile.
